Christian EducationSunday School for both Adults and Children meets from 9:15 - 10:10am on Sunday Mornings. We also have a Nursery Program for children 3 and under during this time. We have done this so that the whole family can actively participate in Sunday School together and we are using curriculum specifically with this in mind. Below are details about current and upcoming classes here at Old South. We also have a church service designed specifically for Children that is held during our Worship Hours. Below are details about this fantastic and interactive program created just for them! The Children's Sunday School Classes meet Sundays at 9:15 am and are offered for children 12 and under (see below for details about our Nursery Program). Family is important and vital to our church growth. We want to support the parents role as spiritual leader to their children. This Fall we will be using new curriculum entitled 'FaithWeaver'. This curriculum gets parents and children on the same page as they study the same bible lessons each Sunday. Because Children's Bible lessons cover the same Bible passages that adults study; FaithWeaver turns Sunday school lessons into a family affair! When families talk about their Christian faith, good things happen. Sunday school lessons become life lessons, lived out all week long. Research shows that the most powerful influence on children's faith development is the conversations about faith that take place in the home. Children's Church During our church worship services, we invite all children from 4-10 years old to Children's Church. After the Children's Time, during regular worship service; the children go upstairs to participate in worship designed specifically for them and to introduce them to the worship experience. The children begin with a Welcome and Greeting followed by Songs, Activities (games, arts & crafts...), Interactive Bible Story, an Offering, Prayer and they end their service with Singing. This is a wonderful way for children to actively participate in a worship service. For older youth who want to be involved in Children's Church, they are invited to be a part of the Worship Team. This team consists of several adult leaders and youth over 10. Adult Christian Education Classes meet Sundays at 9:15 a.m. All are welcome to join us.
NurseryNursery Program Beginning September 9th from 9:15am - 10:10am, we will also offer a 'FaithWeaver' curriculum for our infants and toddlers. The curriculum focuses on simple Bible stories and songs and will mirror what the older children and adults will be learning during Sunday School and Children's Worship.
Nursery Care During regular worship hours, we also have a fully staffed nursery available for children 3 and under.
